
A verruca (also known as a plantar wart) is a small growth that appears on the soles of the feet. It is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), which infects the outer layer of the skin through tiny cuts or breaks.

Local anaesthesia will be used and Phenol will be applied to the injured area to prevent infections and kill off the slither of nail removed to prevent regrowth. The toe will then be dressed.
